Noah’s Event Venue Vendor Showcase

I had the pleasure of attending Noah’s Event Venue Vendor Showcase on yesterday (Saturday, January 13, 2018). There were several vendors present (inclusive to a caterer, photographers, two photo booths, a florist, and cake decorators). I am SO in love with this venue! They offer several amenities and it’s a very spacious venue (depending on the wedding package selection).

Marry Christmas! Merry Marriage! Congratulations Katie and Graham!

The Lewis’s are such a beautiful wedded couple! Their special day was celebrated at The Stockroom 230 on Friday, December 22, 2017, at 5 pm. The holiday season, in addition to the chilly weather, made their event even more radiant as they celebrated such a momentous occasion among family members and friends.

 

As the ceremony completed at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and the Reception began with cocktails and music at The Stockroom at 230, we were ready to celebrate the newly married Mr. & Mrs. Lewis! The atmosphere was live and festive with music and celebration! The DJs kept guests on the dance floor throughout the night with music from The Isley Brothers, to Eric Clapton, to Cardi B. The festive decor and celebration made the evening and wedded couple regal!

 

 

The celebration ended with a sensational Send-Off dance to Carolina Girls, additionally, guests were cued by the DJs to blast their streamers! The moment, as well as the Lewis’s, were absolutely beautiful. Streamers were a wonderful way to end the evening and celebrate Mr. & Mrs. Lewis! Congratulations you two, I wish you a very healthy and happy marriage! Happy New Year! #lockedupalewis

Planning With a Virtual Rolodex!

I believe that the use of iPhones, Androids, iPads, and Tablets (from inception) almost shadowed the process of exchanging business cards, but not quiet! I enjoy exchanging business cards during networking meetings or conferences, I believe there’s something regal about a physical business card and it provides a connectedness and professionalism that Virtual Cards (“vCards”) do not. However, the vCard also provides benefits (i.e. decluttered areas and easy access to a specific contact). Additionally, if you are planning your special day, one less item to physically “handle” may be your preferred method.

Rather you prefer the traditional method of receiving a physical business (like I do, my wedding guestbook was actually a Rolodex) or collecting them virtually, both methods work. However, an easier way to maintain your physical business cards (regardless if you decide to keep them, share them, or discard them) is to capture them virtually.

In addition to the vCard format, CamCard and Flexadex can also be used to save and manage business cards virtually and it is free to use either software. However, there are caveats to using either program (i.e. CamCard can be installed on iPhone or Android devices, however, the software will need access to your camera, naturally since you will need to scan the business card into your device, and a few other materials on your device and Flexadex is not a secure website, however, if it is needed to just store and maintain business cards then this software may be a good fit for you).

Amb Day Spa’s Shoe Drive

In an effort to support individuals and their families that have endured lost due to Hurricane Harvey, Amb Day Spa is collecting shoes and toiletries to ship to Hurricane Harvey survivors. Tomorrow, October 1st is the last day for the drive. You Call This Yoga: East Cary Jazzercise Center

Greetings Everyone,

I had the pleasure of joining Vicki for a gentle stretch yoga session on today (Thursday, September 14, 2017), A Free Yoga Open House. I enjoyed the session and learned a few stretches that helped me to alleviate the discomfort that I felt in my left shoulder (my rotator-cuff).

If you are planning your special day/event, I believe attending one/a few yoga sessions is a wonderful way to unwind and distress!

Classes are held at the East Cary Jazzercise Center (off of Buck Jones Road) on Tuesdays (Gentle Stretch Yoga) and Thursdays (Chair Yoga) from 12 pm-1 pm. The fee is a $8-18 sliding scale fee.
