You Call This Yoga: East Cary Jazzercise Center

Yoga1

Greetings Everyone,

I had the pleasure of joining Vicki for a gentle stretch yoga session on today (Thursday, September 14, 2017), A Free Yoga Open House. I enjoyed the session and learned a few stretches that helped me to alleviate the discomfort that I felt in my left shoulder (my rotator-cuff).

Yoga2

If you are planning your special day/event, I believe attending one/a few yoga sessions is a wonderful way to unwind and distress!

Classes are held at the East Cary Jazzercise Center (off of Buck Jones Road) on Tuesdays (Gentle Stretch Yoga) and Thursdays (Chair Yoga) from 12 pm-1 pm. The fee is a $8-18 sliding scale fee.  Continue reading “You Call This Yoga: East Cary Jazzercise Center”

Are You Trying to Come up With a Wedding or Event Theme?

Themeworks makes the Dreamwork!

TW1

I enjoyed my tour of Themeworks facility on Tuesday, August 22nd (they relocated to a new location a few months ago)! Paige and Brian took the time to provide me with a tour of the facility, and all I could say or think as I toured was WOW!

TW8

If you are in the beginning stages of planning/are uncertain about your Wedding or Event Theme, I’m almost certain that you will leave Themeworks with one!

I appreciate Brian and his team’s passion for offering such a wonderful resource to planners and Bride and Grooms-to-be, thank you!

I may have overdone it with the number of pictures that I am providing in this blog, however, I wanted to provide you with “a snapshot” of the wonderful experience I had during my visit at Themeworks.

Themeworks not only provides rentals, builds rentals, and is registered with AllSeated (one of my FAVORITE planning websites), but they are also a Wedding/Event Venue! YES, you can actually have your event AT their facility, AND, gain an idea of how your event will look BEFORE the event!

RentMyWedding.Com

SAY WHAAATTT!!!? I’m “old school”, therefore this concept would be a little unnerving to me. HOWEVER, I’m also “frugal” Fea, so the least I could do was entertain the thought of researching this concept!

At first I thought I could rent “MY WHOLE WEDDING” (wouldn’t that be nice 🙂 Actually, that wouldn’t be a bad idea (a company that offers basic wedding day templates, EVERYTHING already in place like a model home, it sounds crazy but it would sell, by the way, this blog is my way of owning the copyrights to that idea JUST IN CASE if anyone wants to start that business, LOL, I digress!

Anywho, as I was saying, I thought I could rent “THE WHOLE WEDDING”. However, the concept with RentMyWedding.com is to rent equipment that will provide your special day with that “Special Touch” without “breaking the bank” (i.e. uplighting, monograms, backdrops, and photo booths, the majority of items that your DJ can provide, however, it may cost a pretty penny to add to your DJ package). If you have a Wedding Planner/Designer/Family Member/Friend that is helping you to plan and decorate your wedding, the RentMyWedding concept could actually work in your favor. For example, if you have already secured your venue, cake designer, photographer, DJ, and decide that the decorations will be a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) project (with the help of at least one or two other people), RentMyWedding.com will be a wonderful resource for you.

As I type this blog, the ideal place to utilize RentMyWedding resources in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area is The Grand Marquise (this location is ideal for anyone that wants to have an elegant or a smaller scale “royal” themed wedding). Keeping those themes in mind, The Grand Marquise will provide uplighting (it’s included in your venue rental cost), however, they only offer chivari chairs (that do not need chair covers, unless your color theme will not work with gold chairs) and tables (no linen). Therefore, you will need to weigh the cost of having your wedding at that venue; I believe it will be feasible with a caterer that provides linen and centerpiece decorations or renting equipment from RentMyWedding.com.

I believe the RentMyWedding concept is popular, especially for DIY brides that have support to decorate their wedding/for Wedding Planners/Designers that decorate for their bride. This company has also scored several accolades: (1) To date, they acquired 5 stars out of 5 for 2,351 reviews, (2) They received The Knot best of weddings award, (3) They won the Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice Award in 2013, (4) They won the Wedding Wire Couple’s Choice Award in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and (5) They have been featured on Four Weddings and TLC!

As previously mentioned, I’m frugal, so I believe it’s “icing on the cake” for them to offer free shipping nationwide! Would you consider using equipment from RentMyWedding.com/did you rent from RentMyWedding.com for your own wedding? If so, please share your experience, I would greatly appreciate it.

I do not receive any proceeds from promoting RentMyWedding or The Grand Marquise Ballroom!

Happy Planning!
